USU BEATS UNIVERSITY OF UTAH

USU BEATS UNIVERSITY OF UTAH

This past weekend was not only one of my most memorable experiences at USU, but a historical event as well. The Aggie football team defeated the Utes 27 - 20 in an exciting overtime win: definitely one of the best games I've seen at Romney Stadium.

The entire week leading to Friday's game, students were going crazy as rumors of a possible upset spread around campus. There was such a concern about students not being able to get tickets to the game that students camped out on the quad the night before to reserve their spots in the front row of the coveted and crazy USU student section.

I was lucky enough to enjoy the game with USU football legend Phil Olsen and his wife. It was amazing to not only be able to enjoy the game, but to sit there with a former player as he explained all the nuances of the Aggie's offensive strategy.

After the Aggies won and the students rushed the field to celebrate, I had the chance to go into the locker room with the team and celebrate the historic victory. It really made me proud to be an Aggie to see Coach Anderson come into the locker room with the winning game ball.
