THIS FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL HAS BEEN CRAZY

I swear it seems like there are just too many things happening on campus this week. From the concert, to day on the quad, to high stakes bingo and the 80s party tonight, it's almost impossible to do it all. Week of Welcome is a great way to meet new people, especially if you're new to USU. My favorite events going on this week were definitely day on the quad and high stakes bingo.

For day on the quad, all of the USU clubs and organizations have booths set up on the quad. It's a great opportunity to sign up for clubs your interested in, spend time with your friends and get free stuff. This year's day on the quad was even bigger than the last, and I ran into so many friends, even the legendary Wild Bill.

My second favorite Week of Welcome event, high stakes bingo, always get a little crazy; especially when they give away a home theater system. Unfortunately, I didn't take home any prizes but it's still a ton of fun, and I definitely had a lot of laughs with my friends.

Unfortunately, my last Week of Welcome is coming to an end here at USU. Nevertheless, I've met so many great people this week that I'm really looking forward to hanging out with this school year. Luckily, I still get to check out the 80s party tonight that will coincide with the unveiling of USU's new legacy fields.
What's up guys? My name's Justin Ecung and this is my official USU My Friends blog. As you may know the 2012 Fall semester has just started, so I thought I would start things off by telling you a little about myself.

I'm a senior at USU majoring in public relations and working on a minor in marketing. I definitely have a strong passion for writing and accordingly, chose a major in journalism. The classes are definitely tough, especially this year, but I know that in a few months it will all be worth it.

I came to USU four years ago from Los Angeles, CA. The move was tough at first because I really missed my family and my little sister a lot; I'm extremely close to my family and usually talk to my sister at least twice a day.

Fortunately, I found my home away from home in the Living and Learning Center dorms on campus where I made a lot of friends that I still stay in touch with. Luckily, almost all of my roommates were from California so we got a long great.

USU is really a great campus not only to go to class, but an even better place to hang out and have fun with friends; you can really almost do anything on campus. My friends and I enjoy working out at the field house, catching up with friends on the quad, getting coffee at the library cafe and of course sledding down old main in the winter. Even if you want to get off campus and enjoy the outdoors, you can rent almost anything from the USU ORC.

This year, my friends and I have decided that this is going to be our best, craziest, most memorable year at USU. I'm really looking forward to sharing that with you guys through this blog, pictures and my My Friends videos.
